Manhattan

A vintage cocktail found in David Embury's "The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks" published in 1948. The recipe there calls for Canadian whiskey (hence the name of the drink) and a dash of Angostura bitters.
This Fernet-based Manhattan is kind of fun to drink.. but only if you can stand Fernet. Could likely use a touch more sugar and I think the dash of Angostura that was in the original recipe would take this drink further as well.
