Ingredients

2 oz
blended scotch whisky
34 oz
lemon juice
34 oz
honey-ginger syrup
14 oz
Islay single malt scotch whisky
1
candied ginger as garnish

Shake it Up

  1. Shake all ingredients (except Islay scotch) with ice
  2. Strain into rocks glass filled with ice
  3. Top with Islay scotch (pour over the back of a spoon to float it)
  4. Garnish with candied ginger on a cocktail pick

Notes & Review

Smoky and peaty from the blend of scotches, tart from the lemon, and sweet but spicy from the honey-ginger syrup.

The balance is important here, as each ingredient packs a punch.

We used Monkey Shoulder for the blended scotch, but any decent blended scotch would likely do.
