Ingredients

1 oz
Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum
3⁄4 oz
Green Chartreuse
1 oz
lime juice
1⁄4 oz
falernum

Shake it Up

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice
  2. Strain into Nick & Nora glass

Notes & Review

The spec is not consistent around the web for this cocktail, so feel free to play with the proportions. In particular, some recipes call for 3/4 oz of lime instead of the full ounce.

Another variable is the falernum - I believe the original recipe used a falernum syrup (e.g. BG Reynolds), while most recipes call for JDT Velvet Falernum.

Another modification one can try is to add a dash or rinse of absinthe.
