Background & History

First created around 1860 in Gaspare Campari’s establishment in Milan, the Milano Torino is a simple, bittersweet apertivo, and predecessor of the Americano and the Negroni. Often called the Mi-To for short, the drink takes its name from its place of origin (Milan) and the vermouth usually used in it (Vermouth di Torino).
