Ingredients

2 oz

vodka

³⁄₄ oz

triple sec

1 oz

lemon juice

¹⁄₂ oz

simple syrup

1

lemon twist as garnish

superfine sugar for rim

Shake it Up

1. Rim cocktail glass with sugar and set aside
2. Shake all ingredients with ice
3. Strain into cocktail glass
4. Garnish with lemon twist

Notes & Review

Tart and sweet, it's a fun martini-esque cocktail (but don't call it a martini) and at least with this spec, it packs a punch too. While it comes together pretty nicely, it's on the verge of boring, and you can likely do better with other recipes on this site. The spec is malleable; some don't add simple syrup, some add more and less triple sec (we used Cointreau). Some skip out on the sugar rim and twist. Make it your own!
