Sweet, tart, a hint of spice, with a backbone of black molassesy rum.
We made it to spec, but you might want to try putting the soda in first, then the rest, as the rum and syrup stayed toward the bottom, even after a stir. The straw, of course, helps here.
Most recipes just call for ginger beer instead. We did try it that way, using Fever Tree, but preferred this version.
