Ingredients

Tahitian vanilla bean
2 c
water
2 c
superfine sugar

Directions

  1. Split Tahitian vanilla bean in half lengthwise and put in saucepan
  2. Add water and superfine sugar
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally
  4. Lower the heat, cover, and gently simmer for 4 minutes
  5. Remove from heat and let stand overnight
  6. Strain through a cheesecloth-lined sieve
