Directions
- Toast cumin seeds in a dry skillet over medium-low heat until fragrant
- In saucepan, combine sugar and water, bring to a boil, and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved
- Remove from heat and stir in cumin seeds
- Cover and let stand for 6 hours
- Strain through a cheesecloth-lined sieve
